What day is Eid al-Fitr?
It is one of the most important Muslim holidays, which is
celebrated at the end of Ramadan and with the sighting of the Shawwal crescent.
The first day of the month of Shawwal, which is introduced in Islamic
traditions as the day of God's rewards, the day of reward for good deeds and
the day of forgiveness of sins. It was narrated from Imam Ali (as), (Eid
al-Fitr is the Eid of someone whose fasting and worship has been accepted by
God).
In another narration narrated by Imam Reza (as), it is said
that (the day of Eid al-Fitr is set so that Muslims gather on that day and
praise God for the blessings He has given them, and that is why Takbeer in the
prayer is more placed from other days). On this day, it is obligatory for Muslims
to pay Zakat al-Fitr.
