What is Eid al-Fitr?
Eid al-Fitr is the first day of Shawwal and at the end of
Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important Muslim festivals. In Islamic
countries, Eid al-Fitr is considered one of the most important holidays and is
usually accompanied by an official holiday. On this day, fasting is prohibited
and Muslims perform Eid prayers.
It is obligatory for Muslims to pay Zakat Fitra on this day.
On this day, the importance of social bonds becomes more visible and the
society moves forward in the direction of getting rid of the two polarities of
rich and poor.
Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) has narrated from the
Messenger of God (peace be upon him) that he said: When the first day of
Shawwal arrives, he calls out: O believers, hurry up to receive your rewards
and rewards! Then the Imam (peace be upon him) said: The rewards of God are not
like the rewards of kings (that is, His reward is very great and spiritual and
acceptance of obedience and God's pleasure).
